From a small child singing together at the piano with my father, I found a love for music. I would listen to records to fall asleep. I remember getting a Cassio piano when I was very young and creating little songs on it.
I started voice lessons when I was 14 and sang in different choirs at school. My first year of college I was a voice performance major but didn't find my love for music in singing Italian aria's. It wasn't until I took my first world music class that I found an excitement. I was in a Marimba band and learned to play the Mbira and travelled to Ghana to study at the University in Accra. It was there that I took such amazing classes as "highlife" guitar, African drumming, and African dance.
I picked up the guitar when I was 17 and found an instrument that was a perfect fit. I have been performing and playing music ever since.
Today I perform at charity events, local festivals, local coffee song-writers events, and church. My music is soulful with a hint of folk and blues.
